I've been thinking of going to cricket just because it so cheap... Can you only use AT&T phones? I have t-mobile right now.

AT&T is a horrible company, and everyone who works there licks dirty sweaty ass, multiple times per day. That is all.

The unlimited throttling has been raised as of last month. Now it shouldn't throttle until 22GB. I know I haven't received my message this month telling me they were about to start throttling.

I normally use between 12-16GB per month on my phone. But I'm on the road all the time. And I save the porn for a larger screen at the house!

Question: I am currently out of contract on my unlimited plan. Can i go sign a new two year agreement pay $200 for a phone, then drop my service once rates increase in a few months and keep the phone?

You'll have to pay an ETF. $325 minus $10 for each month you complete on the contract

                  from the agreement...

"IF WE INCREASE THE PRICE OF ANY OF THE SERVICES TO WHICH YOU SUBSCRIBE, BEYOND THE LIMITS SET FORTH IN YOUR RATE PLAN BROCHURE, OR IF WE MATERIALLY DECREASE THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA IN WHICH YOUR AIRTIME RATE APPLIES (OTHER THAN A TEMPORARY DECREASE FOR REPAIRS OR MAINTENANCE), WE WILL DISCLOSE THE CHANGE AT LEAST ONE BILLING CYCLE IN ADVANCE (EITHER THROUGH A NOTICE WITH YOUR BILL, A TEXT MESSAGE TO YOUR DEVICE, OR OTHERWISE), AND YOU MAY TERMINATE THIS AGREEMENT WITHOUT PAYING AN EARLY TERMINATION FEE OR RETURNING OR PAYING FOR ANY PROMOTIONAL ITEMS, PROVIDED YOUR NOTICE OF TERMINATION IS DELIVERED TO US WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS AFTER THE FIRST BILL REFLECTING THE CHANGE. AT&T is doing away with upgrade renewals and providing the phone with a financing plan much like Tmobile. There was already a non-corporate AT&T store I stopped at that didn't even offer upgrades anymore in August.

                      This.

They are forcing everyone to go on that phone financing plan or pay for the phone up front. I will stick with my shitty iphone 4s for the foreseeable future.

If you can deal with a 2 yr service contract go ahead and take advantage of an upgrade while you still can. My S6 active was only $120 versus paying full msrp over 24 months.

when were you not paying for the phone previously? When you sign a 2 yer contract you put a few hundred down and your bill has the remainder of the payment plan built in.

While the coverage isn't exactly the best compared to Verizon, the price point is ridiculously good. I've never used AT&T, so I don't know their coverage, hell I'm surprised Sprint is still around. Having legacy plans was always a good thing kind of sucks they are strong arming the market.

I also heard AT&T is wanting people to switch to dish, maybe they are having problems with quarterly goals.

The sad thing is, if wireless providers would step up their game, they could easily replace broadband, LTE is the future. I know Verizon is dumping lots of money into it.
I have t-mobile also and I need a new phone to get on their new band 12 lte. Is your phone on this list?

SO far it has been flawless maybe even slightly improved call quality over regular att using the same phone just switching sim card out. 4G LTE everywhere we have gone and internet is very fast. Now it says unlimited but after your monthly amount they throttle you back to 2G speeds, which is basically useless with todays content. That being said it is only 10$ more a gig for the faster speeds if you need it.

Going to do a speedtest tonight on our s6 using att and then cricket.

We are impressed enough that we will switch. With att letting you drop contract with no early termination fees and this out here as a no contract option it is a win win. If you do not like it then go back to att.
How are you liking it now? I'm getting tired of AT&T bs and thinking of changing
