Yes I did go in there and change the crossover to 80Hz. I did go to Radio Shack but they were out of SPLs. However they did have RC BB8 Droids from the star wars movie and I've gotten sidetracked with that and diverticulitis LOL

If your pants don't flutter when the bass hits, you need more speaker.

I can open my neighbors cabinets and spill thier contents easily... Lol

And that's not even my HT..

Amazing what 2 Cerwin Vega 380-SE towers powered by BGA amps bridged at 500wpc rms will do.

I was listening to some bass tracks today and made the wife made. She doesn't like the whole house shaking.

One thing I would double check is where Audyssey set your crossover for each speaker. It sometimes has a problem with that where my mains are concerned. Make sure it is above the -3dB point rated for the speaker. And, of course, the higher the crossover allows for more amp headroom. I find that everything blends the best with all speakers set at THX (80Hz), even though I have full range speakers.

The Radio Shack Digital SPL meter I recommended to you is the best in terms of cost vs. performance. However, If you need something just to get started I have an old Scosche meter that you can have. It's just not as accurate in the lower frequencies as the Radio Shack. And when you level calibrate using the Onkyo's pink noise test tone, you want to set the meter for C "weighting" and "slow" speed.
Hey man I had to move the sub from the near field position I had it in behind the couch to one of the corners of the room and now it needs some tuning up. I got a meter yesterday from Guitar Center, a digital C-Weighted one. Totally changed up the sound, now I can hear where it's coming from, and it's real peaky. I can't keep it behind the sofa, it's just in the way. Gonna have to have it in one of the corners, but each of them have a large opening right next to it. I may need some tech support while I tweak it out.
I talked with Tom a little via chat on the PSA website and sent him a room drawing I made with Microsoft Paint, but that was before I got the SPL meter. I am going to play around with it a little and get familiar with the meter and the room size / delay settings, etc.., and try a few things up front.

Maybe you can advise me on a few things later in the day, probably rookie questions but I will learn a bit in the process of getting this thing right.

Changing from near field to corner loaded is going to change the sound quite a bit due to boundary gain. You can sometimes localize the sub in those situations.

              Are those 4 ohm?

Do you have any plans on setting up Dolby Atmos/DTS:X in your HT? I've heard some great demos(Gravity - Diamond Deluxe Edition), but I'm too lazy right now to install and wire in ceiling speakers. Not to mention getting yet another receiver.

However, I'm guessing you didn't rerun Audyssey/AccuEQ when you moved the sub? If not, you need to do that before doing anything further. The filters (EQ, cut/boost, latency, etc.) applied during your initial calibration are for the sub in near field. Room response is so sensitive to change that I have to re-run Audysey XT32 just from switching from the 16Hz tune to the 20Hz tune on my PC12Plus. The frequency response changes enough that Audyssey needs to compensate for that. Otherwise, I lose some output in the mid range that the amp DSP has to trim off in order to have headroom for the deeper extension on the lower port tune.

                1. Are you allowing the AVR to perform all bass management?

                2. Did you remember to turn the crossover adjustment on the sub all the way to max(to disable it)? If not, then the sub internal crossover will be conflicting with the High Pass for LFE crossover setting in the AVR.

                3. Consider buying a SubDude down the road
I did run the Audyssey EQ after moving it. And yes to question 1 and 2. I'll mess with it later in the week. Gotta lot going on. I'll report back... Thanks for the input thou though, I will double check everything.

Im not really into improving the setup. It sounds good to me as is.

I went back and ran Audyssey EQ again, and left the crossover frequencies alone this time. It wanted the sub crossover set at 40HZ and the mains set at 100HZ.

The first time I ran Audyssey after moving the sub I messed around with the settings, probably a bad idea. My receiever is TXH certified, so I set the mains to 80hz crossover and the sub for 100 HZ...

And left the Sub crossover knob at max position to allow AV control..

                    I thought I was
Sending everything below 80HZ to the sub, and
Blocking everything above 100HZ from getting to the sub...

Obviously I am a rookie and Audyssey knows better because there was a marked improvement this time around.
