No. The war on drugs ends when the government decides to stop fighting it and it will simply go away. If we give up fighting people with the ideology that the muslim fighters have they will eventually kill or convert everyone who does not agree with them like they have be doing for the past 1400 years.

I keep hearing that we should not be blaming islam for the attack and that there are "Plenty of good muslims" who did not attack anyone. The funny thing is I can't remember that logic being used in regards to the Germans and the Japanese when we went to war with them and burned their cities to the ground while killing their women and children. We defeated both of them in a pretty short amount of time if I recall correctly.

We even put state side japs in internment camps. Don't know for how long and how much I actually support it - but I understand the thinking.

There are so many problems with us going to war it's retarded.

1. Don't even have a balanced budget and cannot really afford it.

2. The American public is in no way ready for a real war on anything. Especially due to budget and then the overall cost of it - every American will sacrifice.

3. We can't do this half measure BS, we have to do a war. However, politicians and the media won't just let it happen. They'll fuck it all up (See #1, can't even balance a budget."

4. As I understand the military is currently doing a force reduction, probably so some politicians can say they did something for the budget.

Those are just some quick ones that make a difference. Lets not get into border security and other things that will help the actual ground we live on. In the end I just can't support some half ass effort to go to war. It's not fair to the people doing the job or the taxpayers. Until we're ready to have a complete and total war effort (can we even do that with our current industries?), we should focus on keep the borders in check and trimming any fat we can.

Do not get me wrong, I WANT to support us whooping some ass. However, people really seem to forgive too quick these days and lose their stomachs for a war. I supposed the lattes and crap every morning makes it feel like it is all better.
