Last night, I was sitting down with my 5 year old and explaining the day to him. I started wondering if his school will even explain what this day means. He is in Kindergarten so I have no past experience with it. Do schools discuss what this day means?

Ours doesn't do much for it. They also coincide this with a teacher work day so the kids get out at noon. This keeps everyone happy since they (teachers and students) get the entire day off for MLK day.
