2016 Toyota FT-1 Release Date and Price
The exact and official 2016 Toyota FT-1 release date has not been set, but we expect it to go on sale in late 2015. For the price, rumor has it the price will be around $100,000. Toyota is still ironing out some few issues and all we can do for now is just to wait. However, just like the last model, this hot concept is going to send shock waves across the industry.
Engine and Performance of 2016 Toyota FT-1
In a twist of events, many people expected the 2016 Toyota FT-1 (Toyota Supra)car to come fully equipped with either V6 or V8; however, the car has been given a rather smaller 2.0 L inline 4; a thing that was designed in cooperation with BMW. Working with a pair of electric motors, this would actually be turbocharged and the driver will be able to net a combined power of around 450 HP and 480 lb-ft of torque. This alone will make this car more and more powerful than its predecessors. As far as the car performance is concerned, the engine alone would actually put this 2016 model just near the GTR. In less than 4 seconds, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH, and the top speed going all the way up to 180 MPH.
