we took Jr to the wildlife park there. where you drive your truck through and the animals come up and you can feed them out the window. Jr. liked it. it seems like it took forever though.

My deer lease is about 10 minutes away from FR, so I've been there several times. It's worth the drive IMHO. There's a ton of game to see and you can feed them if you want. Just be careful...there are some bat-shit crazy ostriches out there.

x2 on the Ostriches. Don't do what I saw one mooley do where he tossed feed on the hood of his nice Tahoe. They beat the hell out of his hood. How do you explain a localized hailstorm damage only covering your hood to your insurance?

Watch out for camels and goats. Part of them will block you while the others get on either side and try to climb in/stick heads in. Toss food AWAY from your car. Its like driving through south Dallas.

Took my 3 and 5 year old last year...they LOVED it.

All the animals have become accustomed to the cars and getting fed from the people. Funniest thing was the zebras though. They hit up both sides of the car looking for handouts and if you don't have any food, they go straight back to the car behind you.

Takes a LONG time to get to the top, like an hour and a half, so make sure everyone has gone to the bathroom and you've got a full tank of gas before you get there. Katrina had to buy gas up at the top of the mountain and it was like 6 or 8 bucks a gallon.

Dino Valley is about 15-20 mins away and that was pretty cool too if your kids like dinosaur stuff. 80+ full size dino statues, fossil dig, and stuff like that

This is no shit but we had a blast. Glad we didnt take my Jeep and put the top down like I was going to. I saw a guy teasing the rams with food then rolling up his window. Next thing we heard was a giant clunk where it rammed his door on his Ram no less. LOL Damn giraffe stuck his head in our sunroof and ate food out of my wifes hand.
