That was Sprint's fix for Tanya's lack of service at the house, they sent out a little box that routes calls through WIFI. Out here ATT is top dog, and what I use for my work phone.

As with my wife's service though, it doesn't matter how great the 4G and overall coverage is throughout the city, if you can't get it at home.

Just to elaborate a little more on the Wifi calling from AT&T. I'm sure other carriers work the same way

Just quick notes on how it works.

You have to have your LTE turned on for both DATA and VOICE. Which would be called HD voice or in my world, VoLTE. Having only DATA turned on or LTE turned off, will not let you use the WIFI calling feature. Also, if you CAN NOT get any LTE whatsoever, then feature will not work.

You need to activate the WIFI calling feature.

Make sure WIFI is turned on and you're connected.

If it detects that your WIFI is stronger than the reception of your LTE, then it will automatically switch to your WIFI. On iphones 6 and 6s, when that happens, you will actually see the words WI-FI up at top.

When that happens, all your calls will be crystal clear.

works like a champ at my house since I have shit signal for LTE.
