I've been going through this for a while now as well... We tried the counseling thing and for a little while it helped but the root problems were never addressed so it still didn't work out. She moved out about a month ago... waiting on paperwork now.

Talk, calmly and be honest and open. Try a counselor if you can't have the dialogue on your own. The way I approached the situation likely isn't for everyone, but if I'm going to fail at something I'm going to fail cause I tried and not because I didn't try. It leads to a lot more failures, but at the end of the day I'm the only person on this planet that HAS to sleep with me at night so I have to be ok with myself. I suggest you try everything first, and don't half ass it cause you'll only cheat yourself.

If all else fails, and you don't want a divorce, ask for an open/swingers marriage if you still want to live together... worst that can happen is she says no, or her new boyfriend tries to stick in your butt.

I thought you kicked that broad out months ago? Didn't we all tell you the booty call thing would lead to you two getting back together, and you'd be miserable again?

I agree with counseling or speaking with your pastor at church. Really it comes down to being able to vent and release the pressure... Much like you have by even making a thread about your frustration. It's better to be able to talk about it to friends or even family. I can tell you from my own experience that when you are in a situation much like you are describing it can lead to making you feel like you are losing your sanity.
You forget what it feels like to be a normal individual. Crazy thoughts would run through my head like it'd be be just as easy to "off" yourself... Like i said... Losing your normal state of thinking. Removing yourself from the living situation may make things better, but it's a double edged sword especially if you are married and have kids involved... PM me if you want...

A little step back and I see she just wants to do things like schedule her daily activities or kids' activities around when I get back, wants to have dinner ready, how to get a hold of me in an emergency, etc.

I've seen other guys just pop off when the wife gets inquisitive. Kinda like guilty conscience taking over their response, sometimes in the form of passive aggressive aliases... just sayin.

Should I ever start losing that "spark," I would just remember what it was that attracted me to her in the first place. I never understood that whole "I don't even want to have sex with her" crap since I'd fuck her silly right where she stands at any given moment.
            All this right here.

I've been with my wife for 29 yrs, (married 26) I love her today maybe more than I ever have in any point in our lives. She still does it for me, now that the kids have gone on their way, life is more stress free and things have gotten way easier for our relationship.
IMO, you guys have lost that "loving feeling", you can rekindle it, but it will take BOTH of you. Do not stay for the kids, your only going to hate yourself and be doing them them more harm than good...'H'

Man, I had to sit down with the wife recently and ask the tough questions, finding out after the "im fine" and " im just tired" answers that she's feeling a bit depressed over the normal job/kids/money stuff and even feeling a bit left behind by her friends that dont want to hang out anymore. I thought we were heading down the road to the big D, but that was the last thing she wanted. Perhaps a good talk will help, even if just to get to a counselor.

She was supposed to have been out months ago but was dragging her feet... not sure what booty call thing you're referring to other than the times she booty calls me (which is just fine by me). We aren't getting back together, that's for sure, but I'll still bang her anytime she wants as she's still pretty effing hot.

That's all normal part of marriage, but sitting down and talking it out always will help, especially if you are really in love. Communication is the KEY in any type of relationship, not just a married one.
My wife went through something similar, once she got friends with kids or her older friends had kids it ironed itself out. Raising a family is brutal on women, it tears up their body, fucks up their hormonal balance and kids can be a real PITA at times, thats when dad needs to come home and put some cowskin on that ass to keep things in line...

She's really shy, so for her, it's the end of her social life forever, or worse, she has to go make new friends.

This is good advice. We've been married 21 years, and there have been a few down times...worst thing you can do is ignore it and just hope it will pass. Communication is key.

You should be communicating that to your wife without her having to ask.
