this summer tropical storm Bill was supposed to drown everybody in TX. My wife was asking if I was going to board up the house and evacuate to DFW where she already was. The local mouth-breathers were stocking up on bottled water at Kroger like the apocalypse was coming.
Never mind the fact that the actual local weather report called for a few inches... which is exactly what was delivered. It sprinkled a few inches over a couple days here.
My MIL told my wife we were supposed to get 10" of rain because of Patricia!
I looked at the weather report, and it was calling for almost 10"... over the course of three days
I was telling my dad yesterday that I'll probably end up dying during a hurricane because I pretty much don't even pay attention any more because the media cries wolf so loudly with any/every stormComment
