Curious where did he work in Whitewright? My Dad moved there, seems like a quiet town, but something is going on - pretty busy area at 1-2 in the morning.

It was a trucking company up there. He was their mechanic. I don't remember the name but it's about a mile from the DQ

I wonder how many of their engines he sold and how many times over?

Dude, you want to adopt a brother? At least I'd return the generosity.

I have no siblings, but really close friends. About 4 of them I would have no qualms about going to bat for them and have for several and always got my ROI.

Thinking I know it - not a bad company either for something like that in a town like that as well.

            Nope, none of that counts.
You're a LOT nicer than I am. I quickly got fed up with his BS and decided to not bail him out of jail anymore and then he had to sleep in his car because I wouldn't let him stay at my house after he disrespected me and my wife. For this, I am the bad guy.

I think what fueled it, outside of him being my little brother is that he was in Germany and by my bedside when I was being worked on and had the bullet removed. I felt I owed him until one day I sat down, ran a quick tab and saw he owes me tens of thousands of dollars, not to mention sleepless nights and stress that was making me physically ill and my kids were having money taken from the "let's go play" budget to augment my brother living off everyone else and I just decided to cut ties.

That said, I have a friend I met when I was 18, my freshman year of college that I call brother and of course, my military siblings that I wouldn't take for. Still, I"m always happy to add more to my family.

The last time he wanted me to make bail it was because he beat his wife and dog. He was in jail for domestic violence and animal cruelty. I took the dog and found it a new home and was going to bail him out but the wife told him she'd front the money in exchange for his huge ass tool chest with tools in it. He said no the first 4 times but after another 20 minutes of Lamar County, he agreed and has not offered a dime to repay me though he keeps asking "Can I pay you out to get my tools back? They're all I have and how I make my living."

Dude, you haven't had them in a year. I don't think that's how you make your living. He tells people (I hear anyway) that he's special forces airborne (he was assigned to an airborne unit as a mechanic and did his tour of Iraq in the kitchen working the dry erase board) and that he's all super secret squirrel. When I call him on it, they attack me because I'm jealous of his service.

My scar is not impressive. My surgeons were top notch and with the things I did, I can't compete with someone who halo dropped into Iraq as part of special forces and took out Saddam.

He has an other than honorable discharge but hides behind his honorable from the AF. They only gave him the honorable because they were downsizing and told him he could either accept a voluntary separation or they'd kick him out. They didn't want teh black eye of a drunk airman with multiple DWI's being kicked out of the AF.

I thought that was a requirement of an airman. Hmmm.

Especially in Germany but he also refused to go to formations or work
