The night before my 40th birthday, I slipped on the stairs and about ripped my arm out of socket! I was walking down the stairs and had my right hand on the rail and just missed an angled stair near the bottom and my right arm did a reverse windmill. I had such a tight grip on the railing I never actually hit the stairs. My hand stayed on the hand rail and it literally spun me around to my side. When I got back on my feet, I thought my arm was falling off!! Damn that hurt! Took me about 3 weeks before I could actually lift my arm all the way up.
Happy pre 40th birthday.......soap.

Earlier today my mom called me over to tell my we may have to put the old man in a nursing home. He can't even walk at all. Y'all can call me crazy but I would want Jesus just to kill me before I get to that point. I think maybe that's why I'm so wrapped up into the issue.
Heard about it on the radio. Interview, not an infomercial.WH

You can have just as much or more fun in your 40s. Priorities may change, or should change. Less risks are taken, more sense is realized, better decisions are made - if indeed you are truly growing up. You learn to appreciate what you have and how to hold on to it.
You don't have to forget the past or shut the door on it, but would you really want to relive it?

How the fuck do you not know if you're 38 or 39 ?Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Is it normal to feel this way or am i going through what's called a midlife crisis? Physically I don't feel old at all. Mentally when I'm not thinking about it I'm always young at heart And play around like a kid. But again just when I actually think about the number 40. I immediately don't want to think of it anymore I try to force myself to think about something else.
