  • Spotify vs Beats

Been thinking of trying out one of these streaming add free music apps for $9.99 a month. Any of you fellas have any experience with either of them? If so what did you like and dislike with them.

If you're paying that much, just get Amazon prime... $100 a year. You get streaming ad free music, streaming TV, and free 2 day shipping on most items and free 2 hour shipping on some items depending where you are.

Spotify is great. Can't think of any downside.

This. Just do it and thank yourself (and us) later.

I honestly didn't know there was free music for Amazon Prime, but after browsing it, spotify seems way better and much more user friendly. The few lesser know bands that I like and are on spotify that I searched, were not included in the free music.

I've been a Beats user for maybe a year and a half now and I still enjoy it. I have Amazon Prime and I like their music but one of the things I like more about Beats is the ability to save the music for offline listening. I can't think of anyone else who offers that but I haven't really tried a lot of the offerings out there. It comes in handy when I'm out camping or fishing somewhere and I've got no cell reception and I want to listen to some music. It's pricey though at (I think) $14.99 a month.

Spotify allows you to save playlist for offline use, pretty much the only reason I started paying for the service. I think they have changed it up some now, but originally spotify was free on a computer and the paid subscription got you mobile and offline use.

Interesting. Do they have a trial period?

$9.99 with 35 million or so songs, plus you can upload 50k of your own into their cloud.

                          I use spotify.

Had to spend some time setting up playlist and flagging albums I wanted to download when I first started using it but now I have a decent size library downloaded to my phone that I can use even when I have no internet available.

They have a radio feature which which is ok Pandora is better IMO as far as pulling B-sides and rare tracks.

The user created playlists are good, and they add 20-30 songs to a suggested playlist for you once a week.
