NTTA billing problems

    NTTA billing problems

    I've had my camaro over 8 years now and they can not figure out how to bill me correctly. I recently received a $56 second notice on a car that I've always had registered with them since day 1. I show current charges on my ntta account for the vehicle so I know the rf unit is functioning.

    I'm also getting toll invoices for my fusion which I've had 4 new stickers sent out for, I also see current account transactions for the car but again get a second notice late fee in the mail

    The worst of it was last christmas. My wife has an account for our truck but it is registered to me. I get a non payment notice even though it was billed on her account. Toll authority states nothing they can do because it is already at collections. The worst part of it was the collection company calling me at 6am the morning of Christmas eve

    The wife is going to contact channel 5 because this is getting rediculous

    Anyone else have problems with them?

    Do a google on NTTA and billing....

    There have been multiple news reports about their billing hi-jinks.... lawsuits, etc...

    If the bills are outrageous, I would get a lawyer... 10 to 1 they'll settle quickly.

      These stories are the primary reason I refuse to use toll roads. I will take a longer route to avoid their crooked bullshit. That and the fact my taxes already help pay for other roads and I don't want to pay again to use the toll roads. Such a fucking scam.

        Strange, I've never had any billing issues with the NTTA yet, except for when the jackass I sold a long-in-the-tooth S10 to didn't register the vehicle in his name.

          they sent me a pic of a white jeep blowing through the toll lanes, issue was it wasn't my jeep, my plate, and ive had a tolltag for what seems like the better part of a decade. I tried calling them once to clear it up, but after waiting on the phone for about 20 mins. I decided they could just fuck off. I assume the "you cant register your car" line they try to scare you with is 100% bullshit as I just got my new sticker last week.

            So to verify what the clerk told me:

            When I called in may to update the file with my new chip in card debit for my bank the person who helped me did not bill my current bill to the card even though they updated my information. Because of that and the fact I only received a second notice they are charging me the full zip cash price.

            My call clerk was Shakita who was very rude. Basically told me zip cash and toll tag are separate and she can't do anything about the zip cash fees.

            I'm about to just buy a remote mounted plate concealer for my primary car, I've been over charged and double charged for no reason

            They send invoices to my cars registered adress but can't see that I have a toll tag account

            Bull shit


            Oh and guys if your wife uses your car and has a toll tag account they will still charge the account to the registered owner and not the toll tag registered account. So if their rf reader doesn't get a scan on one of their readers the bill goes to you with the plate

                          Dealing with the NTTA is one of the many reason none of my cars are registered in my name or in this state anymore.

                              Some of us prefer a 5 minute drive instead of a 30 minute one.
                              After breaking down the mpg cost difference, i'd be stupid to not use them. And thats when gas was at the $2 mark, in a 24/30 mpg car.
