Leather car seat repair question

I have a line on some seats from an Acura that would be perfect for adaptation into the '66, but there is some damage on the drivers seat side bolster that's missing material, so it's not as easy as fixing a popped seam. Based on a cursory search, complete cover replacement is too pricey. Is it possible (and affordable) to have just that piece of the seat fixed? Think it'll match?

If so, anyone have recommendations on a shop to do the work and what it might cost?

Cool. This is the outside bolster (likely vinyl), so it probably won't be a huge job. I'm probably just being a wuss about it because I've never had to do a fix like that. Hoping it won't cost too much.

Cool, thanks for the referral. Based on your experience, what do you think a 4inx12in Vinyl panel replacement might cost? Unfortunately this deal only materialized after normal work hours on a Friday, so there's no business open to call for an estimate so I'm just looking for ballpark.

I know fuck all about leather repair, but maybe someone can answer this question.

If there is a damaged leather panel on a seat, (or hell even a cloth seat) can that panel simply be destitched, and have a new panel sewn on, while its still on the car? Obviously this would be hand sewn.

And if not, how much money would you save if they just take the seat out, take the seat cover off, and only fix that one panel? Is this ever done? Basically just use the damaged panel as a pattern, to make another one, and don't recover the whole seat. Just sew in the new panel.

You see a lot of damaged driver's seat leather, on the outside top of the seat, closest to the driver door. Gets all cracked and shitty looking. While the rest of the leather may be just fine.

I ended up picking the seats up today. Aside from the rip, they're in great shape. They're from an Acura RSX Type S and look pretty rad. A lot more comfortable than the cheapie eBay racing seats.
