It also doesn't factor out police or military related shootings. Basically if there was a gun involved it's counted, no matter what the circumstances are.

Then if you want real numbers you need take out all of the gun related crimes in cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, NYC and DC where it's virtually impossible to legally carry a firearm already. Additional laws aren't going to make a difference in these major metropolitan areas since they are already more strict than anything the Liberals could get through congress.
