I got real close to deleting some friends and a few family members after Bruce Jenner started wearing a dress. Aside from that, the new FB fad is people using apps to post how many freaking steps they've walked today. News flash: Nobody gives a shit.

Facebook has become a soap opera and some people are way too invested in it.

After the shootings yesterday I see all these posts about gun control and shit. I'm usually able to ignore them as I realize I cannot make them understand my point of view nor will I ever agree they are correct, so I just move on. But fuck man, shit! Every now and then someone I care about (usually a different person) will pipe up with some dumb ass uneducated bullshit about their opinion and I will just have to speak up. Now I'm down in the trenches fighting something I cannot change!

How does everyone else avoid the troll bait, and how do you avoid it after you've had a few?

I just stay out of it. The closest thing to a rational middle ground is to try and convince them that the genie is out of the bottle. Guns are already out there and there is no getting rid of them. Best to manage with education and liberty for those that are responsible. Probably won't work though.

Much had already been said here... You just have to bite your tongue, the likelihood of changing a liberals mind is minimal, and you just have to move on.
