When my grandmother passed away she left me a good chunk of money, which I've put a fairly substantial amount of into a brokerage account with Fidelity, 6 different mutual funds.
Problem is, I put it in literally a couple of days before the stock market started tanking last month. I thought I did a pretty decent job of researching and discussing my investments with the good folks at Fidelity, and bought into a couple of index finds as well as several other funds with 5 star ratings.
Since then I've watched the value of the account diminish by thousands. Even a 1% market loss during the day is a pretty significant hit. I know I shouldn't be watching the progress on a daily basis but I can't help it. I also know that in general the market it going to grow 6-10% per year but shit man I hate watching my money disappear daily, or almost daily.
If I sell off any of my shares right now, I'll be stuck with the losses.
Anyone else sweating it out right now?
