Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

DFW isnt a bad place to be looking, though most of the industries that were once money pots seem to be in a tough spot. I would recommend going for a role that gives you solid fundamentals (GD&T, test planning, design and analysis..etc) then going for a money move after 2-3 years. You will be much more valuable then.
Good advice. I've got a couple of avenues I'm looking at right now, but nothing that really screams perfect fit for me. I have a couple of months to look and decide since I'm on contract until December.

Yeah, definitely no shortage of people hiring, hopefully there will be some competitive salary offerings. I'm kind of holding out for something that really looks interesting, but if nothing like that comes along soon I'll just take the best of what I can get.

I mean I would think a resume with your name and link to www.dfwmustangs.net should easily bring you a 400k yr + medical, dental and vision with a 0 deductible.. You might get the rug as a sign on bonus

wasn't a dig at all, but that may not be a bad age. i know my company is adament on hiring people in their 30s, because there is a gap of people in our industry.. it's like there are no 40 year olds, so they are hiring the 30s to get trained from the 50s and 60s. If you are in to piping LMK, i can put you in touch with the people. But its basic Hydronic piping. I imagine sizing a VRF system can get pretty damn redundant, but it is a great company to work for, and we do pretty much ALL of the big jobs in dallas.

Lol man maybe 4-5? 289, TDD (kinda counts unfortunately), Big Studley, and a few others.

I know for sure that 289 had started to move up pretty well...but hes the only one im in somewhat regular touch with.

And major props on sticking with the program at 40. Not that its any harder to learn at that age, but it seems life gets in the way the older you get.

If you find something within Eaton, give me a PM and I can put your resume through the referral network, rather than the global site.

Be an elevator mechanic. I hear they make some pretty good money.

                              Oh.

                              And no degree required.
