As soon as they become legal in the us they arent "as good" even if theyre the same quality wise. Its a hipster rarity thing that made their reputation exceed their value.

Just like when craft beer goes mainstream...it inmediately isnt as good to some people.

Not even close, in regards to your assumption to taste and quality of cigar. It's a different animal than what can be grown in Nicaragua or the Dominican Republic etc. So if the flavor profile of a good Cuban cigar appeals to you, well, there's only one place you can really get it.
