The first teacher who saw the damn thing was absolutely correct as it was indeed a suspicious device...and should have been investigated as such.

The over reaction by everyone from that moment forward was just freakin' stupidity.

There apparently is no common sense what so ever among most of those involved.

I don't think it's a dry run, but it definitely had to be checked out and examined. The overreaction is appalling. People did EXACTLY what DHS wants people to do, and now it's racism.

White kids get arrested and expelled for less: "guns" out of pop tarts & paper, American pride T-shirts, etc. No hype there. No WH invites. Cops getting assassinated by BLM supporters. No hype. No WH invites for the families. Disgusting.

They didn't open it to find out. FFS, you think it's a bomb and you WANT to open it to verify on your own?

the cabby that lives down the street from Christian and Kim? He's here after failing to get elected as president of Sudan?

The clock was electronic, not mechanical. So it wasn't exactly ticking, but apparently an alarm went off once or twice in class.

I think the kid intended to make it look like a bomb. Maybe to make a point that we shouldn't make snap judgement's about a middle eastern carrying a ticking briefcase. Or we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Regardless, he's a punk so fuck him and whatever point he's trying to make.

I bet his father is on a "watch" list because of his ties with Sudan. I also think the school knows this.

The only questions I have are, if the school suspected it was a bomb, why didn't they lock down the school and evacuate? Why didn't the police call the bomb squad?

Wurst would be the preferred nomenclature.

I do not agree with the POTUS opening his big trap again, it being national news and I'm not sure I agree with how the police handled it.

However, unless you're an explosives expert - I can understand why a teacher would freak out a little over it. The sad part is these days that is understandable and all this is going to do is remove even more freedoms from the students/faculty at school. As if school was not enough of a prison 20 years ago - it's going to get worst.
