LMAO, how did it take 17 posts before a link was presented?

I had no idea what you fools were talking about.

I think they meant 150kmh. If anyone was doing 150mph, it wasn't that damn tiburon.

Well, time to check craigslist again!
yeah, it's no mawrsaydeez, but overall fit and finish is pretty damn nice... and 10yr 100k warranty isn't too shabby. It didn't dawn on me that her car is coming up on 2yrs old already. I think she's got a little over 40k on it.

We did have a steering column module failure at ~15k miles, but it was very quickly/painlessly replaced. No back order on anything, thankfully. It has electronic assist steering which would be my only "complaint" about the car, but we've both grown used to it, and it's a non-issue at this point.

The only other "gripe" would be the bullshit Hankook tires it came with. They hydroplaned badly, so I put a set of Michelins on it with only a few thousand miles on the car.

Oh, and it smoked the front tires before I caught on to what was happening... I just put two new michelins on it a couple months ago. It will dust the tires quite easily, so it eats the fronts with our driving style.

I will say that brake life has been a VAST improvement over her 06 Accord!!! I was constantly putting brakes on that thing. Again, our driving style is pedal heavy! LOL

We've tossed around the idea of trading it in on a Santa Fe Sport AWD when the time comes because we've been thoroughly impressed with the car.

It's fucking nice for the price. Tons of power on 87 octane, pulls down 26mpg at 80+, heated seats, cooled driver seat, nav, camera, pano roof, bells, whistles, etc. etc.

Funniest anecdote about the car was coming home from DFW when the car was fairly new to us and pulling on an early LS1 camaro with three big dudes in it. The dude was pissed and kept trying to do a ricer fly-by on the passenger side and I just kept shutting him down over and over. That was the first time I had it to 140 (he was turtleing in the left lane and got mad when I passed him on the right and proceeded to coast down in front of him... good times were had by me)

Hell my Lexus SUV can do 137mph. 150mph isn't that big of a deal anymore.

                          ??? Okay.

I understand newer cars are quick.

But I had no idea a Ford Escape could run low 9s in the 1/8th mile.

And news to me that sonatas were rear wheel drive.

Lol no, just taking this a little more literal then I probably should.

Foxbodys are slow in comparison to newer cars, Honda civics and ford escapes all have more horsepower.

I guess they don't run low 9s because people don't take them to the track.

Plus I can't think of anything that comes with a 2.73 gear ratio.

Many years ago, I ran my wife's 2003 TL-S against my bone stock '93 LX 5.0 and the TL drug it pretty good off the line. From a punch it would jump out then pretty much hold. Modern cars have come a long way since 2003.
