I've thrown up after a legit deep tissue massage when I used to lift heavy. It helps a ton but damn does it make your kidneys scream for mercy.

      Truth.

I also find not going cheap for one or I'll end up having to goto someone else to fix the bullshit they did. Unless I'm spending $100+ an hour for a massage, I find that they appropriate the previous sentiment. I prefer 90 minutes Swedish massage as it lowers my blood pressure.

Also cant stress enough, if you do go weekly or even monthly learn breathing techniques ( its pretty simple, just take deep breaths from your belly and exhale when they put pressure ) and do not to fight the therapist, they will thank you by going deeper into the muscle as it will take much less effort and its easier on their hands. If you dont, they'll pretty much back off and say fuck you because their hands arent worth digging into your muscle if you're just going to fight them the entire time.

I also dont believe in aromotherapy or that shit, but try and get some tea tree oil because that shit makes me skin feel a billion times better.

All of this is correct too. I agree that if they are licensed they will be knowledgeable, but that doesn't make them good at it. Unlike bad blow jobs, bad massages can be really bad and can do more harm than good. I, however, think the aromatherapy helps me relax before, during, and after. The ex wife is a massage therapist. That was nice while they lasted.

For sure, that is a good point to bring up. Make sure to drink plenty of water ( at least a pint worth, go for more ) after a massage. The therapists are pushing a ton of toxins out of your muscle and into your body and your kidneys have to process it. If the kidney lacks water, it'll make you want to vomit to get rid of the toxins.

That is true, the eucalyptus does open up my sinus and does help me relax, but the bullshit that says it can improve your disposition or even cure cancer is what I was referring to.

You've got a few years on me, and I sound like I'm getting out of a bed of leaves in the morning.

I love the chrio. Always feel better when I leave. I swear I'm slightly taller when I walk out of there. Whats sad is they can pretty much heal a shitload of problems that bother people for years, (and that finally lead to bigger problems) but they won't ever go. I'm a midrange bodybuilder at best. But midrange is about where I feel I'm at. A year from now its my hope, that I can become higher on the totem pole than that.

Sounds like a couple of you guys are going, or have gone, right after a workout. Fuck. That. lol

I'm talking about the second day, that second day soreness. You know how the second day you're actually more sore than the first day after a workout? That's when I'm talking about going. Until you're broke in, then you don't really get much soreness anymore, unless you look for it. And yes, I'm well aware of all the gay jokes that will come of that last statement.

Thanks for the recommendations in the thread and PM's
