a ton of them are hitting the lots now on trade. I've seen more in the last week or so online than I had previously.

One reason they are holding such high value right now is that you can't get a new one anymore. Once the 2017s hit next August/September, I expect prices to hit rock bottom on the current models.

Talked to a sales guy at 5 Star and he said most were going to Australia because of such high demand over there. That was back when the last few rolled off the line.

I'd love one... But I'll never buy one.

You could buy a loaded fx4, drop it off at a desert race shop, and still be cheaper than a raptor.... It's like a fox body plus 5k

(Edit: But I do get that at raptor has a bumper to bumper warranty.)

Resale value. That FX4 is going to depreciate at a much higher rate than the SVT Raptor.

that bumper to bumper warranty doesn't cover any damage incurred from playing Dukes of Hazzard though

                  Gas Monkey...

This is why they are holding their value.

                      Very true....

In the last few years a raptor would have been a good investment oddly enough.

There was some jackass in a showroom new raptor at Rednecks w/ Paychecks last year, tried to take it through the deep mud bog. He made it about ten feet in. I watched him search the vehicle for tools, or straps, or some way to get it out. Laughed when he fell down several times. Then he thought he would winch off of one of the parked trucks, but it wouldn't reach. Made his ex-stripper wife do a pole dance on the one on the back of the jeep (she said she thought she retired from it) before I pulled them out. Laughs were had by all.

Ended up getting a 15 Ram Laramie (white/silver). No more excellent mpg's from the Passat TDI but at least now I have something I can pull a car trailer with.

I remember reading the article where they bent up a lot of those on one trail somewhere. Some one thought it would be a great idea to put a hole in the frame where the back shocks were or something. Caused a recall I think.

Then a suspension design engineer came on that forum and explained why you cant expect to nail a 24" incline at 50mph without damage.

But the salesman said nothing will break it.

So what is the best one to nail a 24" incline at 50mph? H1?
