I know this is no longer a mustang forum, but let's talk 03-04 Cobras anyway. I have been wanting one for a few years, but I think I can get one when I get my bonus this year (Dec 1st). Other than price, any good reason to not get one? I personally like this body style better than the 05+ style, until the '15+ style, but I can't afford a $40k toy. I'm looking at a few now to see what is out there, and it seems I can get one with some mods, good condition, and under 50k miles for right at $21k.

Thoughts? Warning signs to look for? Where is Whiteboy's used-car-o-rama?

I'd drive one, but as soon as the motor blew it would become an LS swap car, and thus it would be cheaper, i think to just build one out of a cheap GT.

I love them, but can't see myself driving one unless it has 700+ rwhp. They can be had in that price range but you need to look over the drivetrain really well.

Crazy nonsense. Next you'll tell them to take out only 15 year mortgages, invest in iras or 401kz, and pay cash for kids college.

Only 13 yrs left on 15 yr note. 401k is solid. Only 1 credit card. And I own a cowskin rug.

if you want one just get one. but if you are trying to get a low mileage example, will you really be able to enjoy it, or will it be a 20k trophy that sits under a cover?

20k would get a 02-04 Z06 if you're ready to be a grown ass man, and stop playing with mustangs

Like NayNay said... if you want one just get one. Just make sure it's clean on the carfax and check everything out. Listen for ticking noises. Also if it has a non upgraded tranny I might check that out. Idk how, but I blew out the 10 spline at 450rwhp before I put the kenne on it. All and all they're pretty stout cars and I still love them.

I loved those cars. But having my coyote for nearly 3 years. I'd never go back into a new edge. Maybe a clean fox Notch.

I bought one with a hurt motor for $14K with 40k miles. I've got a new engine and all the supporting mods, just need to get off my fatass and get it running. Should be a solid 400+RW when I'm done.
