I thought the post office worked no matter what the weather did? Last week we only got mail at my house on Monday. Even Saturday when the Roads were clear we got nothing.

People from your own neighborhood did or did not make it into work, did or did not lose power, did or did not have a pipe that burst, did or did not have a flight canceled. Imagine the factors that could effect a worldwide shipper during weather conditions like that applied to a much larger area.
I've sent a couple thousand packages with both companies. I have a lot more problems with USPS than I've ever had with UPS. I prefer to no longer use the post office at all except for international shipments.
I would consider it very good fortune that your usps package was on time during this mess. I would be willing to bet far more usps packages are delayed or flat out lost during the last week than UPS.US Politics in three words - Divide and Conquer

Beat my ninja-edit!
You're just waiting in line at this point. Lots of work from lastweek ahead of you.
Generally it seems anything I'm receiving makes it to the Mesquite hub sometime after midnight and I'll have the item by the next morning or afternoon depending.
I already had customers bitching at me last week wondering where there item was when I provided tracking info the item had been shipped the day or day after they paid (depends on whether they paid before or after the afternoon UPS truck comes by as to whether I ship out same day or next)
"The nation is crippled by cold weather, you already shipped my item, I have the tracking info and can check it myself, but where is it you fucking asshole?!?!" God I hate that shit.US Politics in three words - Divide and Conquer

I hate those sorry worthless s.o.b's. I ordered an accufab t/b from LRS last tues and didnt get it till tues this week. Thats after it supposidly went out for delivery at 8am then all the sudden magically theres emergency beyond their control at 2pm but shows up later that afternoon????? Their a fucked up worthless shipper in my opinion.
Their routes are also fucked up my packages go to Mesquite then to OKC then to Hugo Ok, When Im just north of Sherman's UPS depot????? Why not send it to Sherman instead of basically driving by my house twice?

I know there's been bad weather but I ordered something shipped with UPS 2 day delivery on Feb 1st and it's still not here. I ordered something on Feb 4th that was shipped regular old US snail mail and it got here on the 8th. I can't believe the US postal service out performed UPS but they did.
And my tracking keeps showing my packages all over the country. Just like F8LSVT one day my package is on the truck for delivery and then the next day it's in OK somewhere. How the F does that happen? What that tells me is they're tracking isn't accurate. They change tracking status assuming it'll be somewhere and then it's not.
