Na, it looked like an accelerated stall induced by high "G" loading during his pull out of the maneuver. Compressor stall/loss of power does not stall the wing. The wing has no idea what the engines are doing.

He exceeded the critical angle of attack for the wing.

those old axial flow engines were known for compressor stalls at low speed and odd angles of attack ie air flow through the inlet, hence my mechanics "theory".
