Headed back home after 4 days in Vancouver and 2 in Birch Bay. While there was no beer consumed, copious amounts of bourbon and vodka were consumed, and I may or may not have partaken in "medically legal" festivities.

Also going on vacation this week. Hoping the weather holds in the western Caribbean, don't want to get rained out.

I specifically told my wife no cruise because i got caught in a tropical depression once.

Sky on one side...water on the other....rock...repeat.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Hell yes. 4 days wasn't enough time. There is a lot we didn't do that I wanted to. We spent a day driving the Sea to Sky Highway up to Whistler. Stopped at Shannon Falls, Squamish, and every "pullout" along the way. We didn't get a chance to go to Chinatown or Victoria Island. I ate as much as I possibly could and still missed several restaurants I wanted to hit, as I had a rather ambitious list.

I've only been through Vancouver on the way to Whistler prior to this trip, but it was more than I ever thought it could be. Downtown is fucking huge. We stayed on Georgia Street. Granville Street is a blast and top notch for people watching. Beautiful women, freaks, live acts, and a lot of homeless people. The hot to not women ratio is ridiculous. Beautiful women were everywhere I looked. A severe lack of fat people everywhere you go. While they had some shitboxes like Mickey D's, BK, and others, the food everywhere is made fresh in house. Food is really cheap in bars (steak and shrimp for $5.95, shit like that), but alcohol is expensive. So are cigarettes ($16 a pack in the convenience stores). Their sin taxes are retarded, but curiously pot isn't subject to that tax. Gastown was very hipster but very cool in it's own right. Gastown is old downtown Vancouver, still has the original cobblestone streets, and a steam clock that goes off every hour. Lots of cool bars down there. Stanley Park is cool, and huge. During the summer they play free movies on Tuesday nights (Jurassic park while we were there). I missed it by a few weeks but they do fucking HUGE fireworks shows every night for like a month (Honda Celebration of Light). Traffic sucks balls. We walked miles and miles and miles and miles. Funny fact: Vancouver has more dispensaries than Starbucks. The amount of disabled people shocked me. Like in NO, the homeless people have no shame in asking for, whatever. They'll come up and try to make small talk then ask you for money, food, cigarettes, a joint, or whatever. While pot is only legal for medicinal purposes (and still illegal federally), it is common for people to walk down the street smoking. As long as they don't act like idiots, the cops leave them alone. They've got bigger issues to worry about over on Skid Row. I had no idea that Vancouver has so much filming going on there. We saw multiple live film sets just walking to/from wherever. Vancouver is very, very liberal. Which makes it a cool and fun place to visit in the way of the bars, entertainment, art, etc. I couldn't live there though because I'm too fundamentally different like I would be in California. Some of the folks we met were cool as shit. I was surprised at how many were completely anti American assholes, but it didn't hinder my fun one bit nor would it stop me from going again.

Pardon the run on sentences, any spelling, and grammar. We just got home, I'm dead tired, but can't sleep.
