We are getting a very poor return on the dollars spent on criminal justice in this country.

FYI: A right is something that does not come from government and can not be legislated away.

I agree with the BS laws and the poor return on dollars spent. Why do you think we have so many BS laws? Because it is a money making proposition for all involved except the poor SOB that is accused and has to defend him/herself. At the heart of this push is the private systems that make tremendous amounts of $$. They lobby for the BS laws in order for their business to thrive, and thrive it does.

      Great example------------
Marco Rubio is one of the best examples of the private prison industry’s growing political influence, a connection that deserves far more attention now that he’s officially launched a presidential bid. The U.S. senator has a history of close ties to the nation’s second-largest for-profit prison company, GEO Group, stretching back to his days as speaker of the Florida House of Representatives. While Rubio was leading the House, GEO was awarded a state government contract for a $110 million prison soon after Rubio hired an economic consultant who had been a trustee for a GEO real estate trust. Over his career, Rubio has received nearly $40,000 in campaign donations from GEO, making him the Senate’s top career recipient of contributions from the company. (Rubio’s office did not respond to requests for comment.)

        From Rowlett PD facebook:

This a composite picture of the individual that abducted and sexually assaulted a 15 year old girl with Asperger’s syndrome on Monday August 17th at about 4:00pm at Springfield Park located on Lakeview Parkway in Rowlett. The victim described the suspect as a biracial male in his 20’s with a tattoo that ran down the right forearm. She described his car as a white midsized with grey or black interior with two car seats and a booster seat in the back. She said that the car smelled of heavy cigarette smoke. Further investigation led to a video of the suspects’ car believed to be a 2010- 2013 Nissan Altima or Maxima. The police department is asking for public’s help in identifying this individual. Man that's fucked up, I hate hearing about things like this. Me and my wife go there all the time with the dogs, definitely hits too close to home. That's a pretty distinctive and hard to hide tattoo so hopefully somebody will recognize it.

Seems to me like this ballzy mofo is just going to do it again and again, until finally caught. I don't think you have to worry whether or not they will catch up with him
