I got 3 suits at MW. Also bought several shirts, ties, a belt, and dress shoes. For interviews and occasions where my wife drags me to some stuffy suit and tie event it does the job fine. If I had to wear suits every day, I'd buy something nicer and more comfortable with a strong tie to hang myself.

I wear a suit with no tie quite frequently. Was perfect for work (tech) conventions in SF. Functions that are "nicer" but not formal I do it.Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

What about those in the finance industry going this route?
What about defense contractors?
Or any other tech industry for that matter.
Do you just look for the first thing you can try to troll on and spill stupidity...or do you ever actually have a point?

Brooks Brothers has some pretty nice shit, but it's all more expensive than the 100-150 suits most in here are talking about. There are a ton of small details in a suit that stand out. Tailored or not, a cheap suit will not look or last as well as a nicer suit for a few hundo more. Most of the full canvas suits I've been looking at start in the 4-500 range.
