I think I have some of those stashed in my glove box. This poor sap I work with was convinced that was his way to make it big so he gave me some. I might use it to get out of a ticket, or that could cause me to get thrown in jail?

I have no problem with it if it is a genuine need. For instance, I set one up several years ago when a friend's husband died unexpectedly, and left behind two kids. Another friend lost everything she owns in a house fire last week, so someone set one up for her and her family.

I am disgusted at the majority of them I see though. And the ones I think are ridiculous, wouldn't be in the situations they are in if they were smarter with their money (I.e. Not wasting money on stupid shit they can't afford).

I agree with actual need. Not "we want to buy a house we cant afford, because we dont save well and probably want to spend more than we should (150K down payment!!!)"
