Ive heard a few on here comment about how annoyed they can be with this gofundme bs and other campaigns. I ran across one on homebrew talk that kind of floored me. They want people to donate $150,000 to cover their down payment for a house and gave the most first world sob story ever:

then the guy gets all upset about people getting "offended" and acts like its their problem.

I ended up reading what the OP was referring to and at least they had a gimmick. Still, life really sucks in regards to not being loaded with money. Have to figure it out on your own somehow.

I didn't realize it was so serious. Tell me, is it more or less content 'clouding' than the 7 ads as per page that take up more percentage of the webpages real estate.

Yeah, I'd like to believe that anyone that deserves/needs it will still get it. Although it's similar to all the "Support the troops" stuff, it's beginning to wear on a lot of people....and a lot of it is funded by DOD as opposed to the group (i.e. NFL...etc) putting on xyz event. It'll just become background noise.
