Amway has moved to an online store format. My parents are actually bringing in anywhere from $4-4.5k/month plus they get a semi annual bonus check of at least $10k. They've also gone on trips to Hawaii, Caribbean's, cruises and we've all gone to Disney World all paid as well courtesy of Amway. It takes dedication to get anywhere like any other business.

College friend of mine ran up the ranks with Melaleuca and then supposedly went bankrupt. Posts pics on FB of all kinds of exotic vacations and golfing with HOF NFL and NBA players.

Im also curious about this one. I know a few people in this stuff. They're always taking trips and one guy I know got a brand new BMW 650i last year. But there is no way in hell that I will initiate the conversation. Thats like asking to be kicked in the nuts.

My wife has been doing Beach Body with one of their coaches who lives in our neighborhood. The "first 30 day trial period" kind of had me wondering what the catch was. Well here it is at the 30 day mark and the coach is trying to get my wife to become a coach also. Of course my wife went in with an open mind and a lot if determination and has loved doing the workouts. Heck, she has been killing the Shaun T Insanity program. She is a natural athlete with a gymnastics history and a degree in kinesiology from TWU. So the coach she has views her as a perfect candidate for teaching others the Beach Body programs.

I just don't want to see her sucker into something that costs us money in the long run. But she enjoys the fitness so I can't discourage her with my pessimism.

Anyone know anyone who has coached the Beach Body stuff. It certainly sounds like multi level marketing to me.

I did Primerica back in the late '90s. I got my insurance and financial planner licenses. I even sold quite a few policies. I still have my life insurance policy and the guy that sold that to me went on to their "senior vice president" level. Which really just means they've built up a big enough pyramid to make some really good money.

At the end of the day though, it was still selling insurance. Too boring for me.

Same here. We very likely know the same people. I will say I walked away with some better education of insurance and investing I probably never would have gotten before. I have a cousin into it now. Thing is, he's doing it as a full time job thinking he is going to get his big break in it while living in East Texas, but he only makes maybe $300 a month. I want to tell him to go out and get a real job, but it would piss off a lot of family and he really is a nice guy, just duped. He knows I know the schpeal after he tried to pitch me once.

I fell for one in the early 90's. I was young college age, easy pickings. Family of Eagles. MLM involving 1/10 oz gold coins. I went on a convention trip to Vegas once which was fun. The worst thing to happen was that I ended up with 9 of these stupid gold coins that have since appreciated in value 3x what I paid. It was my first experience with MLMs and I think a valuable education from it. Heightened my spidey-senses when others come around. At least I am not covered up in knives, cosmetics, candle warmers, and other senseless BS to kick around the garage.

The bad thing is, she is always posting things like "My body is so clean, and I have so much energy" yet she is still fat and hasn't improved in the 2 or so years of peddling it.
