I was on auto draft for bi-weekly payments. I wanted to go back to the monthly payment where I can setup a check to send out on a specified day. I wasnt sure if I would have the money at the specific time so I wanted to be able to control a situation instead of bouncing a check.
When I made these last payments I called the person at corporate"loan modification officer" and gave them the account number and routing number each time. Id see the money come out of my account as a charge and it would show up in my mortgage account as a payment. Latter that day it would show as a reversal on my mortgage and as a deposit in my checking account.

Why not just do a refi with another company if they're just screwing with you? Your score was high enough at one point. They can see what was going on and take it under consideration when approving.

Every time one of these loan modification failed WF put a non-payment on my credit so it looks like I haven't made a mortgage payment since Nov. I dont think any company will refinance my home due to my current credit rating/situation. When I first got this house my wife and I were both working so we made a combined income of $100-110,000/year. Now Im the only income and I made about $70k last year. With a good credit score I should be able to get refinanced with my current income but not with a score in the 500's.

I haven't dealt with this exact situation, but I dealt with a similar situation with a medical billing company that involved 1000s of thousands of dollar when my son was born .
First of all you have to put things in writing - phone calls don't count for anything . Put together all of your evidence - write a letter with copies of everthing. Explain each page and reference it as an attachment (attachment a shows the money was put in my account and taken out on Sept 1st for example). Send it via registered mail so someone has to sign for it. If you do talk to anyone be sure and get their name, and a contact number and be sure they know you are writing it down.

In the insurance industry I finally figured out that a formal complaint with the state insurance board gets their attention.

This might not be the right place - but it will be a start. Call and talk to them - If they aren't the right place they can probably help you find the right place.

Put a post of what is going on. No cuss words - but write some thing factual (like you wrote in the post but shorter). All big businesses have people that watch their pages - they tend to get back to you somewhat quickly.

Your right just wait until you see what they have planned next. Banks can be cool though if your on their side when they are pumping stocks or commodities. The key is be financially smart and never let your guard down. If I were in this situation I would square up with the bank if I had equity in the home. Pay what they want and stay in the house
