BROKEN ARROW, Okla., July 25 (UPI) -- Oklahoma authorities are still trying to determine a motive for a quintuple murder near Tulsa this week -- in which police say two teen brothers killed their parents and three siblings.
The stabbings happened on Wednesday night at the Bever family home in the town of Broken Arrow, a suburb of Tulsa. According to investigators, Robert Bever, 18 and a 16-year-old brother used "blade-type" weapons to kill all five.
The brothers' father and mother and three siblings -- two boys, ages 12 and 7, and a 5-year-old girl -- all died at the home.
A fourth sibling was also wounded in the attack, but she survived. A newly released police report said the 13-year-old survivor was the one who pointed the finger at her brothers.
A fifth sibling, a 2-year-old girl, was in the home during the attacks but was not hurt.
Investigators say they have so far been disturbed by Bever's demeanor since his arrest -- saying he has shown no remorse and seems to happily confess to being the killer. The 16-year-old brother has not been identified by police because he is a minor.
Consistent with those statements are a pair of Bever's police booking photos -- in which he appears to be half-smiling.
A motive for the mass murder remains unclear to police. Neither suspect has any prior criminal history.
Bever has been charged with five counts of first-degree murder and a count of domestic aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. It was not immediately known what charges his younger brother might face.
Knives aren't protected by a Constitutional amendment, therefore it's a non issue. These people don't give a shit about murders or deaths, they just want to take away every right you have one at a time.
