Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

LOL at Denny!
Thanks for the feedback everyone!"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

I pretty much had a similar scenario recently and took a job with the same pay, just so I wasn't exposed to a possible layoff.Last edited by VaderTT; 07-27-2015, 02:11 PM.Ded

I was told a long time ago, that it's easier to find a job when you already have one. Take the offer, and even if you don't like it, you're getting paid to continue your search.
The flip side is that you don't take the job, and the longer you go without finding that "perfect" employer, the more desperate you'll get to get cash flowing again.

Just wanted to update this.
Got my official offer letter today. The salary is even better than I had hoped. It's a 22.6% increase in pay...so that's a plus!
A few questions...Is it common for a company to have a 6-month wait to allow you to participate in their 401k program? Will most 401Ks allow you to wait 6months to roll over your existing 401k to the new one?"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

You can roll over your 401k whenever you want as far as I know. I get calls years after the fact to roll one of my old ones into an IRA. I've never rolled into an existing active 401k, I've rolled old 401k plans to IRA accounts.Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.

I also prefer smaller companies, I took a position with a smaller company recently and I am really enjoying it. I had an offer from a very large company where the pay would have been similar but the benefits would have been a lot better, but I know how much I am valued and respected at the smaller company and the fit is just right.
