  • To all the DFWM car sales people.

as most of you know I'm out of work. And considering car sales at a big box store as a possible option. So I have a few questions

    • what's the average quota per month per sales person.
    • how many cars does the "average" sales person sale per month?
    • what's the average commission rates?
    • is it base plus commission OR all commission?
    • how do you obtain leads?
    • last question whenever you pull into a dealership and Lucy like five sales people standing around like vultures. Waiting for potential customer to attack How do they decide who gets that particular customer, is it like "you take this one I'll take the next one" where does each salesperson have their own specific section of the parking lot they are section?

    Thanks.

I'd start with learning when to use sale vs sell.

Did it a few years ago, trade ins are where the money was usually made since everyone knows invoice pricing or are xplan etc. Commission only plus spiffs. I'd say avoid it or see if you can go into the finance side/ admin side.

Was expected to make 8-10 sales a month at the time. Top salesperson doubled goal usually.

If your in person persona is anything like your online persona, you may want to avoid sales. Force closing through hammer and abduction doesn't work in car sales.
