My wife and I are going through the same thing. Her cousin is in the insurance business. We aren't being hit as hard as you are, but it is still going to hurt. I can give you her contact info if you want. They are local but search all the companies for your best rates.

I am currently looking at replacing my Audi S4 with a Jeep or a new '15 GT. For some crazy reason even with my son going on the policy the '15 GT will be the cheapest..... My Audi costs more to insure and so will the Jeep, which I sure don't understand. For him the lowest rates appear to be 10 year old 4 door luxury cars. He is going to getting a BMW 3 series or an Audi A4 it looks like based on price and rates. He will get to learn to be his own mechanic that way too.

That might be legal in that you wont get a ticket, but I bet a claim gets shot down with a quickness.

If this is directed at me, not the case at all he totaled his 2004 GT 3 years ago and they paid it off and then some. he was rated on my ranger at the time also.
