Holy shit, talk about an ass whipping!
We looked at over 30 houses, the 13th offer was the one that worked out and I have to say, the house is fucking kick ass.
We landed in McKinney right off of 380/75 coincidentally walking distance from Shaun (Z06killinsbf). Just when I was ready to say fuck it, give up and just find a place to rent for a year while all the shit died down with all the crazy home buying, we happened across this house and thought, "Ah, what the hell, we'll make an offer and see what happens." and I'll be damned if our realtor didn't come back and say they wanted to negotiate some of our contract conditions.
We got a brand new roof out of the deal and everything else in the house was good to go.
It's 4 bedroom, 2 bath, and the most important part, 2 car garage for a total of 2,083 sq/ft. It has a rear entry garage with a decent sized flat driveway so I am going to have a buddy put me up a 20'x20' carport over the driveway. The back yard is decent sized but there is no covered patio at all, so I am going to have another buddy build us a covered patio so we have a place to hang out in the shade in the back yard.
We got EVERYTHING moved over last weekend and have just been getting everything situated over the last few days. As soon as I get everything moved out of the garage that doesn't need to be in there, I'm going to seal/paint the concrete floor and bring the wagon from my dad's shop to the house so I can get some stuff done on it in the evenings after work. My goal is to drive the car by my birthday....New Year's Eve. Yes, this year. Lol
