My in-laws have that same fridge (or at least one that looks identical) and I fucking hate it. The ice cubes it makes are tiny, like 1/3 to 1/2 the size of a respectable ice cube, so they melt fast. And when it's full, you can get maybe 4-5 average glasses of ice out of it before it's empty. That's a problem when your ice is small and melts fast. We end up going to the store to buy bagged ice often, because we run out. It has a button you can press to cause it to make ice faster, and that seems like an absurd idea to me. Why wouldn't it always make ice as fast as it could? The water dispenser is painfully slow, and it doesn't come out very cold at all. The right side door is designed to where you can open just the outside panel, and that panel has a clear door on the inside of it, which likes to come open at the slightest touch, which is annoying when you don't need it open. It keeps stuff cold and looks neat, but that's about the only good thing I can say about it. I wouldn't own an LG.

yeah unless you asked for it to be included during the offer process, homes don't just come with a fridge.

And if you are renting, it's hit or miss, and usually something you ask about

Thank your Federal Government and Energy Star for that one.

Are they the same ones behind the tiny ice cube and small ice bucket nonsense, too? I looked at a few other fridges one day at Best Buy, just killing some time, and they seemed like they were designed about the same.

The good thing is I know exactly what to look for when I shop for a new fridge. I want normal size ice cubes and a plenty of them!

I bought mine at lowes, free delivery, no interest financing for something like 18-24 months, and we got 20% off on a sale.

It's pretty common to move into a house and have to buy or replace all the appliances.

No, that's a manufacturer thing. Keep in mind, LG makes a shit ton of people's appliances these days. So a lot of features between various brands are identical.

Our Kenmore makes smaller cubes than my old one did, but I wouldn't consider them "tiny", and we have a pretty good sized bucket in ours. The Kenmore only makes a small amount at a time, but I keep the bucket full for back up. We've really only run out of ice in the dispenser a handful of times, and it was due to several people making mixed drinks all night.

Jared has huge hands, so all ice cubes are tiny to him.

I bought a Frigidaire Gallery. It is a Stainless Steel model, but has a coating that is easy to clean and doesn't leave finger prints. I have had zero issues in 3 years. model #FGUS2642LF2. Electrolux out of the USA owns Frigidaire now but it was built in Mexico with US parts. We love this thing, better than the top of the line Maytag that gave me nothing but problems most of the ten years I owned it and was double the price.

                        FUCK the MAYTAG MAN!

edit, I just looked and the model I posted has been replaced with model#FGUS2647LF

That's when we usually run out, but it's really just me making Crown and Coke and the old folks having tea.

I asked my agent to clarify whether the fridge was staying or not at least twice. It was my fault for not following up with her. So yes it was a surprise lol. That was really the only issue with the whole process though so I can't complain.

I bought a Maytag 4 door french style little over a year ago. I really like the pull out drawer in the middle, but my ice maker went out on it right at a year. Still need to get it fixed :/
