It sounds like it needs a motor to me... you're not likely to get out from under this deal for less than $6-7k. Probably more than that if you want everything done right.

look up clean trade-in, subtract $5k, and see what you end up with. Wouldn't you rather be done with it in a week than drag the shit out for months to only be a grand ahead?
