How was the well selection? The lines between well and top shelf are more blurred than they've ever been.

I would buy one for both of you there are lots of bars, so it would only be a small walk to get another drink. I don't know about limits on the card but my kids got my moneys worth just on Starbucks alone and they never told them they reached a limit. we went out on navigator of the seas which boat are you on? rum runners is an option if you want to smuggle your own on the boat
We are going on navigator of the seas as well. How was it on there?

I could easily drink $55 a day worth when I'm on vacation. It would be well worth it on a cruise for me as long as there isn't a daily limit.

Keep in mind excursion days when you will be at port for 8 hrs and not on the ship. Ccl is top shelf anything under 10

Carnival doesn't have wells. A lot of their port stops have brands that host shore excursions so they push big brands.

Another factor at least if you are cruising out of Texas is that they probably don't offer the package until the second day. The TABC taxes anything sold while in port and until you get I believe 12 miles out. Which depending on when you leave port could be the next day. So ships keep bottles with Texas tax stamps for the first day and swap them out the next. That's what Carnival does at least, I don't know about RC. I'm not sure you can legally sell an all you can drink package in Texas.

Excursion days are something to consider, for sure. I adjust for those days by spending hours in the casino..... drinking

Is it best to purchase the excursions before or just wait till the cruise? Looking at doing one of the zip line excursions for sure. Anyone you fellas would recommend? These are the ports we will be at.

                    Roatan, Honduras
                    Cozumel, Mexico

Honduras, hit up the zip line excursion, with the nature walk and beach time. The nature park is beautiful with lots of interaction with the wildlife and very playful monkeys. Their zip lines were fast as shit and the staff were great. This was our first time zip lining and they took away my wife's anxiety pretty easily. Step up, strap in, hook up, sit down and push off...Enjoy the jungle.

Cozumel, do the Xrails or snorkeling. Either one you can't go wrong. The Xrails are a little rough on the body but a blast. Done these twice. The last time was last October and it rained the entire time so the trails were nothing but mud pits. Still fun.

Belize City, do their zip line and cave adventures. Fucking awesome time. Rappelling, zip lines, zip lines that run through waterfalls and end in lagoons, etc. Probably the best safety oriented zip line course we have ever dobe. The staff were very professional. ..but be prepared to have your wife hit on by the black Belizean natives. They were harmless and flattering.

Book soon as you can. They can fill up.

These are recommendations from when we didn't have a kid to drag along.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

In Roatan I'd recommend http://www.boddentours.com/ It's not through the ship but he has a very good track record. That and it's a very small island, you'd have to make an effort to miss the ship.

Personally I wait until I get on the ship and book in the cabin. Almost all of the excursions they offer can be scaled up or down depending on demand. If you have your heart set on the dolphin trainer at Chakanaab book it early because it's about the only thing in Cozumel that sells out. They can only take a dozen or so people a day.

Dolphin aris in Cozumel is fun. I wish we had spent more time hanging out on the beaches though. Never been to the other 2 places but if it's a poor country don't go wandering off by yourself.

That place was pretty nice. My wife and sister wanted to swim with dolphins and definitely got their (well actually my) money's worth. I enjoyed the open bar with my nephew. Unlike Chakanaab they don't care if you take your own photos. It's also considerably cheaper and it's right downtown. The price includes a cab ride there and back so you can walk around and stop back there for a ride back to the ship.

Which option keeps you from getting diarrhea when the ship breaks down and do you get to bring your own raft?

I don't think I could ever do a cruise. My fear of the ocean and dislike of people would probably make me go crazy.
