Guess you missed the SCOTUS ruling on the Dallas case that paved this road. They said its discrimination to build housing only in the poor areas (read cheaper land prices)...
Its supply and demand. Land is more expensive in North Dallas. If I wanna make money on a cheap apartments, I'm not buying land in North Dallas.
I wish Montana wasn't so cold. And I am in the sticks. Not possible to byuld apartments anywhere close due to deed restrictions and flood plains..Flood plains ok for cutting hay, not so good for housing

Obama and his chums are acting out because they believe that they have the upper hand and that their oppositions will to resit is very low. What they forget is that once white people are afraid of something or do not like something and have nowhere left to run to they lash out and kill what ever they are afraid of or do not like and they do not stop until other white people make them stop.

One good thing about moving to Alaska, you aren't moving there on your own unless you are hardy and self sufficient pretty much. Be so cold, the gangsters couldn't waddle around with their pants sagging lol.

The demographics of America are changed and will continue this way for the foreseeable future. Not a thing you can do about it except adapt. Obama is but a pebble in this river.

"For U.S. Children, Minorities Will Be The Majority By 2020, Census Says"

America is heading toward the day when whites will no longer make up the majority of the population. And U.S. children will get there soon, according to a new U.S. Census Bureau report.

yes, it's called "white flight", not "if you move 30 miles away from sprawl, it will never ever reach you"

the good thing is that property value typically booms before they start fucking everything up, so you can sell out and move farther out.

I know an older guy who has been through four cycles of it going from Houston to Clear Lake to Friendswood and to Alvin. He's got a baller ass spread. Said he's been planning his next move for years, just waiting for the right timing.

Some of the rent houses in my area are on some kind of section 8 program. You can definitely tell which ones they are for the most part, as very few take care of stuff.

                    What area you live now?

Even north of Mckinney, I remember 2 years ago once I passed Mckinney (even around 5-6 at night) traffic was LIGHT. These days, it's fairly congested all the way to Van Alstyne/Exit 51. I just do back roads as often as possible now, most have not figured them out yet.

is there a website that maps out the section 8 housing in a county?

I'm sure there is somewhere but it might not be public access. Only reason I know about the rent houses is from speaking with the actual home owner. The guy makes damn good money off of it.

I'm out towards Blue Ridge... The landfill is a few miles west of me. That will reduce development between where I am and it. There's also a lot of flood plain along Sister Grove that prevents development. I've got about 27 acres now. I bet I can cut that up nicely when it's time for more "flight".

Good money - Yep. The Goverment check shows up on time every month. A lot of these are done by voucher, so they can be anywhere in any neighborhood that they can afford rent.
I don't mind helping folks out (that need it) , and think most here feel the same way. The problem is that SOME of these folks never learned respect for anything. Thus their living conditions are not kept up and their lives are one big drama.
That said, I have seen some folks that truly needed and were grateful for their "short term" assistance til they got back on their feet. That is what the program was designed for. We got away from that a long time ago.

I don't even want a DART stop near me, let alone section 8. If you want to live in a certain neighborhood, you need to earn enough on your own to live there. You want government housing? No problem, we have a 50sqft room for you in Guam.
