It's really fun if you have a group to fill the whole track. They hand out trophies and what not for group events.

I saw that Saturday when the family went to Hurricane Harbor. They were having a 4th of July special, $11 per session. I wouldn't mind trying it out. Although, it looks more like bumper cars. DKC is much more like racing.

Video of my very first session at the newly opened K1 Speed in Arlington, TX. Driving wasn't best but I still had a lot of fun weaving through traffic.Best l...

I saw a girl get pretty fucked up while I was there. At least a broken wrist and ankle. She just forgot to turn and went straight into a barrier off a straight away. She went under the barrier and was pinned for a good 15-20 minutes.

Quick tip. Stay inside the whole time. Do not go inside to outside in a corner like you would a car. These cars can turn tighter than you can handle. It's hard to get used to it, but you will see the difference pretty quickly.

How old/tall do you have to be to drive the fast cars?

I went there on a weekday so it was just my buddy and I on the track. The jackass kid over the track decided we were driving too aggressively and shut down my car so my buddy slammed in the back of me. Messed up my back for over a month. Actually the most physical pain I have ever felt was the next morning got out of bed and dropped to my knees couldn't move.

yep, nothing like driving a car or a gas kart, DKC is more "typical" driving

When I raced in the Fall league at DKC last year, I had a blast. It took me a few races to get it through my head that those karts must be driven differently than a car. Once I finally changed my tactics, I start keeping up with the front runners better. I plan on doing it again soon.
