I've run into dealers that refuse to deal on used cars. We were looking for a used jeep Cherokee for my daughter and we found a pretty nice one at Bonham north of Mckinney.
We went back and forth over the period of a few weeks but they never budged off their sky high asking price, even after we found some things wrong with the jeep (like a blown heater core and oil leaks).
While we were trying to negotiate with Bonham we kept looking and found anther one at another dealer and they were willing to work with me on the price - we negotiated and I walked away with a jeep.
The other dealer called me that very afternoon asking if I was still interested. I got to tell him that it was too late and that I had just bought a jeep from another dealer LOL....

This is the kind of thing I've run into more than once. And kind of the reason for this thread. Its a little strange, their attitudes sometimes. Its like they don't have any real protocol, they just sort of wing it, every single sale. I mean I know they do, but man. You'd think there would be some more consistency than there is.
