You can't rid the world of "bullshit," nor can you completely hide from it, all you can do is change how you react to it.Originally posted by Baron Von Crowder View PostIf there is a silver lining to the dark cloud that is selling recycled auto parts for 8 years, it's that you learn to let go of issues that you cant change or fix. Yup. Peolples emeotions get the better of them. My mother is one. She goes off about peoples shit she doesnt even know. I laugh about it but to her that shit is life or death.
Ive been chill my whole life and will continue to do so. Consentrate on whats important and forget about the rest.

I don't see the point in social media. I am on linkdin, but rarely get on and am only there to keep contacts I may not otherwise keep up with. As for internet/media, I listen to alot of talk radio since I drive so much. I work long hours so there are days where I don't have the time to get online. I don't miss it, but I also don't necessarily feel like I gained anything either. I care about current events, but do unplug and move to music all day on occasion, but that is usuay when everyone is focused on one topic and I tire of it. I guess the best way to put it is that I pay attention to what interests me and the rest is just there. I feel it is important to be informed, whether it be from radio, or tv, or the web, so if I were to cut it out 100% for very long I bet I would miss it and feel like I was in a black hole. What I don't understand is people who get so caught up in their online lives that they need to take a break. That seems unhealthy to be that focused on something that isnt real. Trublu's vacations from this site come to mind as a good example.I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.

Social Media is an internet water cooler for those of us with jobs that revolve around 90% or more time in front of a computer. You have total control over what you see, and who you talk to.
WHy do people act like it's some kind of gauntlet you have to run, or your only option is to 100% avoid it?sigpic
