Is there a place to get the front windshield done with the clearest one? I bought a used truck out of Arizona back in 2008. I didn't realize it at first, but it has a tint on the front windshield. It makes a big difference in how hot it gets inside and the interior still looks and smells like new. Even though the truck is black, I can get into it on a hot summer day after it has sat in the sun and it doesn't seem so hot inside. I have no problem seeing out of it at night, either.

I am thinking about have my car done the same way.

I hate seeing light side windows and everything else 5%. It just looks kinda funny IMO. I put 30% all over on the Mustang.

That was a very popular thing to do when I lived in Vegas. Loved it on my trucks.

On the windshield tint - As far as in Texas, what about when you have to replace your registration sticker? Seems like that would screw up the tint when scraping off the old sticker. I guess you just have to be very careful and try to peel vs scrape with a razor?

I have 5% on the back of the Dakota, and 20 up front, never have any problems. The avalanche will have the same soon enough, whenever I feel like doing it.

I was worried about that on my old '04. If I remember right I did the 30 or 35, or whatever, on the sides and small quarter windows, and only did 5% on the rear.

I barely know cars, ok. Let me know when you want to compare nuances of the linux kernel, specifically virtual memory subsystem or i/o related.

Cut the tint around it. Be very careful replacing sticker.

Those windshield stickers are one of the few things I have always disliked about Texas. No other state I have lived in has them.. Just the Month and Year stickers on the plates.

And yes, I get the argument that having them inside prevents people from stealing them off your plate and putting them on theirs, but in theory that doesn't hurt the person they were stolen from, since it will still pull up current when a cop runs it.
