How do you guys post pictures?

How are you guys posting pics that you have on your computer? You can attach it to the post but I notice most folks have them hosted somewhere. This is how I do it, and it's a pain in the ass.

Upload to my 1and1 host via FTP
Embed the image with the img tags or use the "picture" button.

Yeah, I used to use tinypic but I am sad when I go back to old threads and my pics are gone so I started using the bucket. Pain in the ass.

Photobucket. I don't like how it dumbs down the resolution, but it's really easy to upload from the phone and I hate Flikr, don't love imgur.

For posting on message boards, it's easy and I'm used to it, so there you have it.

I used Google+ as well. I have all my pictures set for private, but can link just the ONE image to a IMG tag for board and only it is then viewable.
