I fully agree but all the contest are rigged in that way anyways so it all comes down to who has more facebook friends

This. To get to the finals, it's a popularity contest. The finals should be about talent.

I've got no real dog in the hunt, just helping a friend. And yes, he does like the bow ties. I tell my wife he should be the next Troy Dungan.
