'm in the Mississippi Canyon area of the Gulf right - now about 75 miles from Port Fourchon ... and Bill slid right to the west of us... we were ready to run to Pensacola if need be but we rode it out. 9 foot waves at the highest, but this thing can handle 20 with ease. Not saying I can, though lol
as long as you can see the horizon, you should be good
Yeah it was kinda coming into view every once in a while. LOL.... Since I am the crane tech, and the only thing on this vessel IS the crane... I get to hang out on the navigation bridge quite a bit... and I walked all the way out to the end of the catwalk underneath the heloport and took some video of some pretty good bobbing back and forth action... we just use the Dynamic Positioning to keep us pointed into the waves and they kind of pass right under us. I'm definitely getting my sea legs on this hitch..
Traffic is bad. Lots of wrecks. 183 completely shut down wb from beltline to easters.
Hmm. Glad I work from home now.
According to WeatherUnderground, we got 2.8" of rain today. Lots of little dead limbs fell out of the trees and there was some standing water in the backyard earlier, but it's all dissipated now.
