Well I pissed it all away a few years back, and learned a lot of hard lessons. I am building back up and keeping those lessons in mind.
My grandmother never did anything to get rich, except never, ever waste a dime, or even a penny. She never made more than 8 dollars an hour as a secretary, and she retired in 1965. She acted like she was flat broke, always.
However, when she passed away, she had very near a 7 figure stash saved up. She has given me the chance now to take all my own life lessons, plus all the things she instilled in me over the years.... and really do something. So, I don't know what rich is, it's all relative.
I do know it is very possible to be fucking stupid and blow through quite a stash of savings, 401k, Roth IRAs etc, and have not 1 penny to my name.
So, I am starting out by being debt free and looking for high interest money markets and some good mutual funds and starting a Roth for me and my girl...
And making every decision be the right one.
